Administrative Staff Group (ASG)
ASG represents the interests of 235 support staff in the Peel District School Board.
Canadian Union of Public Employees Local 1628 and 2544 (CUPE)
With more than 628,000 members across Canada, CUPE represents workers in health care, education, municipalities, libraries, universities, social services, public utilities, transportation, emergency services and airlines.
Secretarial/Clerical staff at the Peel board are represented by CUPE Local 1628. CUPE Local 2544 represents approximately 1,500 custodians, maintenance workers and food services group leaders and assistants employed by the Peel board.
Educational Resource Facilitators of Peel (ERFP)
With 3,000 members in the Peel board, the Educational Resource Facilitators of Peel represents teaching assistants who work with a variety of students with special needs, and early childhood educators.
Elementary Teachers’ Federation of Ontario (ETFO)
ETFO represents 76,000 elementary public school teachers and education professionals across the province and is the largest teacher federation in Canada.
Approximately 6,500 staff at the Peel board are represented by the Peel Elementary Teachers’ Local (PETL).
Approximately 2,600 elementary occasional teachers are represented by the Peel Elementary Occasional Teachers (PEOT).
Ontario Public Service Employees Union (OPSEU)
OPSEU represents more than 130,000 workers, including 2,000 members at boards of education in Ontario.
Staff at the Peel board are represented by OPSEU Local 283, representing approximately 110 adult ESL and LBS instructors, and by OPSEU 292, representing 130 media and learning technology support specialists.
Ontario Secondary School Teachers’ Federation (OSSTF)
OSSTF, founded in 1919, has 60,000 members across Ontario. They include public high school teachers, occasional teachers, educational assistants, continuing education teachers and instructors, early childhood educators, psychologists, secretaries, speech-language pathologists, social workers, plant support personnel, university support staff, and many others in education.
Approximately 3,500 secondary teachers, secondary occasional teachers, and Professional Student Services Personnel at the Peel board are all represented by OSSTF District 19.
Peel Association of Secondary School Principals (PASSP)
Approximately 40 members are represented by PASSP.
Peel Principals’ and Vice-Principals Association (PPVPA)
Approximately 380 Peel board elementary principals and vice-principals are represented by PPVPA.
Peel Secondary School Vice-Principals’ Association (PSSVPA)
Approximately 85 Peel board secondary school vice-principals are represented by PSSVPA.
