Williams Parkway remembers Black military history with travelling exhibit

Students at Williams Parkway Sr. Public School in Brampton remembered the unspoken heroes of Canada’s history through the Black Military History of Niagara traveling exhibit, curated by the Niagara Military Museum.

The exhibit showcases the achievements of Black servicemen and women from Niagara and southwestern Ontario who have played a major role in Canada’s military history for over 200 years. The dedicated service of Black Canadian veterans from pre-confederation to present day is recognized and celebrated through a combination of photographs, graphics and informative text.
