The Woodlands students achieve top honours at Ontario High School German Contest
A total of seven students from The Woodlands Secondary School excelled at the Ontario High School German Contest in Toronto on Apr. 9. Grade 10 student Prerana Keerti placed first in the beginner's category and received a $250 cash prize. Grade 10 students Natalie Ermashova and Ritika Nair placed in the top eight in the same category, while Eileen Sun and Komal Patel, grade 11 students, placed in the top eight in the senior's category.
Michelle Zheng, a grade 11 student, placed first in the senior's category. As a result of her outstanding performance, Zheng will embark on a four week trip to Germany which includes airfare, accommodation and a language course. She will also have the opportunity to meet and travel with students from all over the world who are also learning German.
