Earnscliffe Sr. Public School alumna explores family connection to Winnie-the-Pooh in 'Finding Winnie'

Earnscliffe Sr. Public School School alumna Lindsay Mattick is gearing up for the release of her book, Finding Winnie, which documents the life of her great-grandfather, Captain Harry Colebourn and his connection to well-known storybook character, Winnie-the-Pooh. Colebourn was a Canadian soldier and veterinarian who bought and trained the bear cub that went on to inspire a young boy, Christopher Robin and his father, author A.A. Milne.

Mattick has spent the last year promoting her book, including travelling to England to present her book to Prince Charles, appearing on several radio and television shows, and spearheading an exhibition at Ryerson University last fall to commemorate the 100th anniversary of Winnie-the-Pooh. Finding Winnie will be available in bookstores and online on October 20, 2015.
