More information about Full Distance Learning Model (PDSB Online School) now available
Dear Peel District School Board families,
Yesterday, we shared our comprehensive Family Guide: Reopening Plans for 2020-21 to help Peel District School Board families and students make an informed decision about their return-to-school plans.
We will continue to update this guide and www.peelschools.org/reopening with new information as we continue to plan for the start of the school year. In particular, today we have added more information about the board's PDSB Online School, which will be offered to students who have chosen not to return to in-person learning at their school. This update includes information about online Special Education programming, secondary course offerings, and daily schedules. We have also updated our Frequently Asked Questions webpage based on inquiries heard from families and staff.
We will continue to update our Reopening Plans website over the coming days, particularly as we review the Ministry of Education's recent direction for online learning shared with school boards yesterday. Families are encouraged to visit the website regularly for the most up-to-date information: www.peelschools.org/reopening
Also, families are reminded to complete the Intention to Return to School form that was emailed to all student board-provided Google accounts last week. One form for each child is required by Noon on Monday, Aug. 17, 2020. You can make edits to your form up until this time. After that, you will still have an opportunity to change your plans up until Sept. 10, 2020, by contacting your school directly.
For instructions on how to edit your form, or if you are unable to access your child's Google account, please visit our website.
We require as many responses as possible by Aug. 17, 2020 to create and organize cohorts, coordinate bussing, develop timetables and best plan for your child's safe arrival to school. We appreciate your support under this tight timeline.
