Peel District School Board and Educational Resource Facilitators of Peel reach tentative local agreement

The Peel District School Board and the Educational Resource Facilitators of Peel (ERFP) have reached a tentative local agreement.

"We are pleased to reach an agreement with EFRP, which has close to 4,000 members in the Peel board representing teaching assistants who work with a variety of students with special needs, and early childhood educators," says Peter Joshua, director of education. "They all play a crucial role to help inspire success, confidence and hope in each student."

"During these unprecedented times due to COVID-19 we were able to reach a tentative local agreement," says ERFP President Hilary Campbell. "This will help to provide some balance and peace of mind for all of our members and students when we're able to safely get back into our schools."

The Peel board serves more than 155,000 kindergarten to grade 12 students. Operating 257 schools in the municipalities of Brampton, Caledon and Mississauga, the Peel board is the largest employer in Peel. For more information, visit www.peelschools.org.
