Doing Business with Peel
Find out how to sell your service & how we procure our required goods, services
In support of our students’ learning and the effective operation of our schools and administrative locations, the Peel District School Board's Purchasing department buys more than $275 million worth of goods and services a year. This includes everything from books to roof repairs, copiers to computer hardware, printers to playground equipment, library supplies to lockers, and hundreds of other items.
The Purchasing department is the centralized group responsible for procuring goods and services on behalf of the Peel board. Our goal is to obtain the best possible value and service to meet the requirements of our teachers and support staff.
Competitive bidding is the foundation of all of our purchases and represents your gateway of opportunity. We provide significant opportunities for responsive and responsible vendors. We are anxious to deal with vendors who are committed to product quality, timely delivery and innovation. The board's
Procurement Regulations and the BPS Procurement Directive will provide you with our purchasing guidelines and instructions for vendors.
We invite you to learn about our purchasing needs, be part of our competitive bidding process, and join the many vendors who are doing business with the Peel board. We advertise all requests for tenders, quotations, pre-qualifications and proposals on two bidding systems: Bonfire and Biddingo. You can also view our bid results on Bonfire, BidsandTenders or Biddingo.
It’s the responsibility of each potential vendor to monitor and review the two bidding systems Bonfire and Biddingo regularly in order to be aware of business opportunities presented by the Peel board.
The Peel District School Board may participate in OECM standing agreements, VOR's or bidding processes from time to time as required by the Peel District School Board.
