Board congratulates Canadian Federation of University Women (Brampton) scholarship winners

Trustees congratulated the 14 Peel students who were selected by the Canadian Federation of University Women (Brampton) to receive scholarships to assist with their university tuition. The following students were recognized for their academic achievement and their demonstrated commitment to school activities and to community involvement:

Board approves tender for Whaley’s Corners Public School

Trustees approved the tender for the construction of Whaley’s Corners Public School to Percon Construction Inc. in the amount of $12,653,062 including HST.

Trustees recognized the contributions and years of service of the following staff who are retiring:

Sue Clarkson, teacher, will retire Dec. 31
Petra Drew, teacher, will retire Oct. 31
Dale Farion, office assistant, retired Oct. 21
Peter French, teacher, will retire Jan. 31
Jeannie Hasted, assistant to superintendent, will retire Jan. 1
Pat Lewis, principal, will retire Nov. 30
Marianne Kelley, vice principal, will retire Jan. 31
Vicki McCracken, teacher, will retire Dec. 31
Lyn McKellar, teacher, will retire Nov. 30
Al Pluim, teacher, will retire Jan. 31
Cecilia Simpson, school attendant, will retire Dec. 30
Corinne Young, office manager, will retire Dec. 31
Rhonda Young, principal, will retire Jan. 31
