With so many issues to address, global development can sometimes be overwhelming to think about. But, great opportunities exist in the field of development and Canadian youth have a major role to play the future of this profession.
Change the world...
At eQUEST: pursuit of equality you will:
- hear from keynote speaker Nigel Fisher, president and CEO of UNICEF Canada
- realize your potential and ability to effect global change
- explore global issues by working with development experts from organizations like UNICEF, CIDA and CPAR
- win prizes by participating in a scavenger hunt
Here's how to register:
- put together a team of four students and one teacher in grades 7 to 12
- read the workshop descriptions and select which workshops you'd like to attend (we suggest each attending a different workshop so you can share information later)
- register by Nov. 17 to secure your school's spot at the conference
- first 100 Peel board teachers to register will receive supply coverage
Want to register more than one team?
- register additional teams and they will be added to a waiting list. You will be contacted following Nov. 17 if there is space.
Not a Peel board teacher but interested in attending?
Space has been reserved for teachers from school boards outside Peel. Here's how to register:
- click on register now and fill out only the teacher information (we cannot offer space to students from outside Peel)
- submit the form and you will recieve a confirmation e-mail from danielle.wilson@peelsb.com
