Registration begins at 8:15 a.m.


8:45 a.m. to 2 p.m.
A special event for grade 6 to 8 students and teachers to learn more about global issues and how to use art and media to inform and inspire.

The ACTup team is made up of senior students at Humberview Secondary School who use their interest in art and media to show participants how personal expression can be a powerful method of change.

Be prepared to:

  • be inspired
  • discover and use the tools of art and media to become agents of change in the world
  • discover your leadership potential
  • enjoy a free lunch
  • Display booths from NGOs and community partners

Admission is free, however transportation and supply coverage are not provided.

Here's how to register:  

  • Register online by clicking on the above link and filling out the information.
  • Each school is allowed to register a maximum of 10 students. If your school would like to bring additional students, you must fill out the additional team registration which can be found directly underneath the primary registration.
  • Students must complete a permission form and return them to the school before the event.
  • Register by June 8, 2009 to secure your class' spot at the conference.

Want to register more than one team?

  • If you wish to register additional students, they will be added to a waiting list. You will be contacted following June 8 if there is space.
