Peel schools ‘choose action’ to prevent bullying

The Peel District School Board believes that no one deserves to be bullied and bullying is not acceptable. We teach students strategies to identify, deal with and stop bullying behaviour. Any form of bullying needs to be reported to the school immediately. School staff have an obligation to investigate behaviour which has a negative impact on teaching and learning.
In 2013, the Peel District School Board recognized Bullying Awareness and Prevention Week from Nov. 18 to 22. Following this year's theme, Choose Action, schools participated in different activities and initiatives to help spread the message that bullying is not tolerated.

Choose action
"The Peel board takes the issue of bullying very seriously and promotes a positive school climate that is inclusive and accepting of all students regardless of differences."
