T.L. Kennedy Secondary School is a semestered school located in the heart of Mississauga. The school is a dynamic community and strongly values cultural diversity. Its 800 plus students represent a wide variety of multicultural backgrounds – over 75 countries, speaking 35 different languages. The school is also the site of a local multicultural, settlement, education and placement agency (MSEP). It is the international student site for the Peel District School Board.
T.L. Kennedy is committed to promoting excellence in learning through communication and collaboration among all partners including students, staff, parents and the community. The school’s primary goal is to provide all students with opportunities to become self-fulfilled, socially aware, and responsible contributors to society.
T.L. Kennedy supports various extracurricular programs in academics, athletics, the arts and philanthropic activities. The school’s Student Leadership Council, made up of a team of students, is very active in assisting staff with school activities. They work hard to increase student involvement, pride and spirit at T.L. Kennedy. The Student Leadership Council also works to increase participation at the community level – locally, nationally and globally.
