Lincoln M. Alexander Secondary School in Mississauga celebrated its opening with events for students, parents and the community during Education Week in 2001, but opened its doors to students in September 2000. To officially mark the school’s opening, Lincoln Alexander, former lieutenant-governor of Ontario, visited the school and spoke with students. The school was created by merging Morning Star and Westwood secondary schools.
Lincoln M. Alexander students are encouraged to show respect, take responsibility for personal actions, make a positive difference within the school community and to strive to be productive members of society.
Students can participate in a wide range of curricular and extracurricular activities that support social, emotional, intellectual and physical growth. Extracurricular activities include alpine skiing, archery, cricket, wrestling and numerous clubs.
