Our learning community is committed to creating optimum conditions for students to work and to meet their academic and social potential. This is done by providing differentiated learning opportunities through a positive and inclusive environment. Our students will strive to become independent, responsible and respectful citizens, and are regularly encouraged to use their four C’s: courtesy, cooperation, common sense and consideration. The Peel character traits, including: honest, respectful, cooperative, inclusive, caring and responsible are embedded in everything we do.
Settler’s Green is a very busy school that offers students a wide variety of extracurricular experiences. Students participate in many opportunities during lunch such as dodgeball, volleyball, floor hockey, quiddich, cross country running, track and field and chess club, to name a few. We are very proud of our music program, which offers students many extracurricular opportunities such as choir and drumming club. As well, we are the only junior school to provide students with an opportunity to learn to play an instrument and be a part of a band. In addition, Settler’s Green regularly attends the Peel Music Festival.
