Maple Wood Public School is a warm, caring environment where students are encouraged to take risks and positively develop. We call our staff Learning Leaders because we are continually learning new methods to engage with students and our community. Our Learning Leaders use a growth mindset approach that helps them see each day as an opportunity to grow their skills. They also know that learning takes time and dedication – an approach that we strive to instill in all of our students.
At Maple Wood we apply the 7 Habits of Highly Effective People as well as the newly added 8th habit. That means that students at Maple Wood learn to:
- be proactive
- begin with the end in mind
- put first things first
- think win-win
- seek first to understand, then to be understood
- sharpen the saw
- find your voice and inspire others to find theirs
Students are taught to use these habits to fuel their success as learners as they grow to become responsible and caring global citizens.
Welcome to Maple Wood Public School where we Learn Today to Lead Tomorrow!
