Levi Creek Public School is a kindergarten to grade 5 school located between the Credit River and Levi Creek in North Mississauga. Since opening in 2000, the school has maintained a strong focus on literacy. In 2007, Levi Creek was named a School on the Move by the Literacy Numeracy Secretariat. Being designated as a Lighthouse School was an affirmation of the school’s work with literacy and numeracy.
The families at Levi Creek are a diverse community. Over 30 different language groups are represented by the students and their families. Celebrating our diversity is an integral part of learning at Levi Creek.
As you enter the school you are met by butterflies, a mural, pictures, trees, etc. The butterfly symbolizes the mission and vision of the school community. Our mission is to “Awaken the Brilliance” that resides within each learner. Within each child, like the caterpillar, is all they need to be their personal best. When the conditions are right, the caterpillar will develop into a beautiful butterfly. It is our vision to create the conditions that will enable all students to reach their fullest potential. The staff is committed to working with students and their families to “Awaken the Brilliance” that resides within each learner.
