At Sir John A. Macdonald Sr. Public School our mission is to create a safe, accepting and inclusive school environment. Our purpose is to support academic achievement and to nurture positive personal, social, and physical development for all students. We provide a safe, inclusive, active learning environment with a focus on the values of respect, effort and responsibility.
Sir John A. Macdonald Sr. is proud to host a variety of regional programs. We currently are home to a contained ASD class and a contained IGLD class, as well as Enhanced Learning Classes (ELC). We also are home to the extended French program which begins at the grade 7 level. SJAM has the privilege of having one of the few science and technology application centers in the board. The intermediate alternative program is also housed in our building.
We believe in making students’ time at school fun both academically and socially. There is something for everyone in the way of extracurricular activities ranging from athletic teams, the arts, leadership opportunities, community involvement and various clubs.
