Agnes Taylor Public School is a kindergarten to grade 5 school located in the heart of Brampton. The school was established in 1956, and named after a celebrated teacher in Peel. A new addition was added to the original structure in 2004 that included 11 classrooms, 2 kindergarten rooms and some conference rooms.
Agnes Taylor is a dual track school, serving English-speaking students as well as hosting a regional French immersion program. We currently serve approximately 630 students, two-thirds of which are French immersion. Agnes Taylor has a diverse population, serving students that speak over 30 different languages. There is strong community support for the school, and we are blessed with a devoted school council.
We are proud of our students and their accomplishments. We continue to be committed to making a difference for students by focusing on student leadership and providing students with rich, engaging instructional programming. We are also proud of our work around ensuring a positive climate for learning, by actively encouraging students to be accountable and responsible for their own learning and behaviour, and celebrating students who demonstrate these high expectations.
