Treeline Public School is a learning community where all stakeholders embrace the motto, “Believe and Succeed." In addition to a strong focus on teaching and learning, our community encourages participation in the arts and in sporting activities; support for the environment and the world beyond our doors.
Treeline is the place to be if you are dramatic, musical, and creative! We have an annual Spring Musical, which is a year-long project, beginning with workshops in October and ending with a two night spectacular at the end of April. Treeline students can discover new friends, new talents, and new confidence by singing, dancing and frolicking across the main stage of the Treeline gymnasium. In addition, students are able to join the junior and intermediate choirs and the art club to further express their artistic talents.
Treeline students have the opportunity to participate in many sporting events, including track and field, soccer, basketball, floor hockey, cross-country, badminton and baseball. They also have fun and learn to play fair in the games and chess club.
Treeline’s students are compassionate, generous and globally aware. Our social justice group, “Me to We,” cares deeply about their school, their community and their world. Through Free the Children, Treeline supports an adopted village in India by raising money to build a new well, provide health care, establish alternative income projects and send children to school. Treeline students also support our local community by collecting and sorting food for the Daily Bread Food Bank and by donating funds to support local families through the Salvation Army.
Care for the environment is an important aspect of the education of students at Treeline. We are a silver level Ontario EcoSchool and encourage our staff and students to recycle, participate in Earth Day activities, turn off lights and computer monitors when not in use and clean up our school yard and surrounding neighbourhood. We encourage students to walk to and from school and to bring litterless lunches to school to eliminate waste.
Members of the Treeline parent community and school council are generous in their support of our efforts to increase the amount of technology in our school. Our annual Family Fun Fair in June brings our community together and helps to raise funds for our innovative technology initiatives.
Members of the Treeline learning community believe that students can achieve any goals that they set for themselves and we ensure that every opportunity is offered to students so that they can succeed.
