Burnt Elm Public School is an elementary school located in the northwest area of Brampton. At Burnt Elm, we are committed to a student-focused learning environment that is positive, respectful, inclusive and safe. We work together in partnership with the home and community to instil a love of learning in our students, encouraging a quest for knowledge and respect for ourselves and others. We are most fortunate to have a number of parent/community member volunteers who give generously of their time to support student success.
A rich educational experience is provided to the students at Burnt Elm. In addition to focusing on the development of academic skills, students are encouraged to involve themselves in the life of the school through sports activities, the arts, technology, the environment, character education and global awareness.
The Burnt Elm mascot, a tiger, speaks to the collaborative spirit of the school: T - team approach; I - inclusive; G - growth of students and teachers; E - encompassing students, community and staff; R - respect.
