Springdale Public School’s school motto is, “Learning and Growing Together,” and students are at the heart of all that we do! We are committed to working in partnership with families to ensure that all students achieve their personal best. Our STAR Framework embodies Peel’s character traits and focuses on the development of student self confidence; teamwork skill; achievement of personal best and responsibility for self, others and community.
We promote academic, social-emotional and physical development of all of our students. In addition to engaging classroom programs, students are invited to participate in a vide range of co-curricular activities such as visual arts, rock & roll club, music and drama clubs as well as a variety of intramural sports. Our grade 5 “Me to We” student leadership club focuses on social justice and global responsibility. Students also are invited to take on leadership roles throughout the school including library assistants, student ambassadors, kindergarten helpers, morning announcers and pylon patrollers.
Our full-day kindergarten classes make up one third of the population. The kindergarten team, comprised of teachers and early childhood educators, work diligently to implement and promote a play-based learning program for our young learners.
