Greenbriar Sr. Public School opened in 1973 and has a student population of approximately 550. The school’s motto is, “Together Everyone Achieves More” (TEAM), and our mission is to learn, teach and work together towards achieving student success with our motto in mind.
Greenbriar’s academic and athletic programs are focused on this mission. Students participate in a variety of extracurricular activities which include a wide variety of sports, art, yearbook, media, music (instrumental and drumming) and various leadership opportunities. Through these opportunities, they learn discipline and leadership skills, and experience the value of team spirit. Students also participate in holiday toy, mitten and food drives as well as Free The Children. We are working towards being an “Ontario EcoSchool.”
Greenbriar hosts four regional special educations programs, including: The Regional Intermediate Developmentally Delayed Program, The Regional Intermediate Enhanced Learning Program, Regional Intermediate Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) Program and The Regional Intermediate General Learning Disabilities Program (IGLD).
