School Council members are important partners in education who every day make a difference in the lives of our students and school communities. At Peel District School Board schools, we value the role and contribution of our school council members and their commitment to help boost parent involvement and student excellence.
In our efforts to strengthen this partnership that we share, the Peel board has developed a collection of resources to guide and assist members throughout the year. Our school council resources section below provides materials, templates and links to Peel board and Ministry documents that council members and school staff will find helpful.

The Peel District School Board is currently accepting applications in support of parent engagement projects, initiatives or activities from Peel board School Councils for the 2019-20 school year. Applications will be received and reviewed for consideration in partnership with the board's Parent Involvement Committee (PIC).
Schools Councils interested in applying for a Parent Reaching Out (PRO) Grant must complete an online application by Friday, January 10, 2020 at 4 p.m.
APPLY FOR THE 2019-20 PRO GRANT
We encourage you to apply as soon as possible. Late applications may not be accepted.
Only one application per School Council is permissible. Projects, initiatives or activities must take place in the 2019-20 school year and are eligible for funding up to a maximum of $500. School Councils may consider submitting joint applications with neighbouring School Councils to collaborate on projects, initiatives or activities. Funding for joint applications will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
