If your child was born in 2013, he or she can start kindergarten in September 2017.
When can I register my child?
All Peel elementary schools are now open for kindergarten registration for the 2017-18 school year. Visit the school your child will attend during school hours to register.
Peel schools will also hold a Kindergarten Registration Week with special registration activities during Feb. 6 to 9, 2017. Visit your local Peel school from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Feb. 6, 7, 8 and 9 and from 5 to 8 p.m. on Feb. 9.

Families new to Peel can make an appointment to register children for school at the We Welcome the World Centre by calling 905-366-8791.
Where do I register my child if they will be attending a newly constructed school in
Information regarding newly constructed schools will be posted as it becomes available. Please call 905-890-1010 ext. 2212 for the most current information.
What to bring to registration
Parents may choose to fill out the Student Registration Form before arriving at school with the following documents to register their child:
Proof of child's age (one of)
Canadian birth certificate
Permanent Resident Card
confirmation of permanent residence
work or study permit
proof of newcomer status
Proof of address (one of)
Ontario driver's licence
bank statement/client slip (directly from financial institution)
credit card statement
federal government forms (e.g. Social Insurance Number, Service Canada documents)
purchase agreement (lease agreements are not accepted)
Proof of custody – children must live with their parent(s) unless provided documentation supports an alternate living arrangement.
Proof of immunization – students registering in an Ontario public school for the first time must provide proof of immunization/vaccination. If you don't have an immunization record for your child, please call Peel Public Health at 905-799-7700.

If you are missing some documents, you can still visit the We Welcome the World Centres, and our staff will help you with all registration requirements.
Registering students with special needs
Students who have a demonstrated developmental disability, physical disability, hearing or vision loss or ASD/PDD diagnosis may require specialized support in the school setting.
The Peel board's Special Education Support Services department looks forward to working with families as planning for their child's entry to school in September begins.
