Peel board student wins Children's Mental Health Ontario's video contest
North Park Secondary School student Lankesh Patel was the winner of the Children's Mental Health Ontario YouTube video contest. He received top honours for his video We Are All Equal.
The Honourable Teresa Piruzza, Ontario’s Minister of Children and Youth Services, presented Patel with the award at the Peel Distrcit School Board's Children's Mental Health Week event at the H.J.A. Brown Education Centre on May 7.
“This video, this event and our government share a common goal: reducing stigma, increasing awareness and early identification and intervention of mental health in children and youth. That is why we have made significant investments through Ontario’s Mental Health and Addictions Strategy to put over 770 new mental health workers in schools, in our communities and in youth courts across the province.” – The Hon. Teresa Piruzza, Minister of Children and Youth Services.
