This year’s International Business and Technology Trade Show will showcase the work of aspiring young entrepreneurs premiering 48 businesses on May 9.
“The IBT Trade Show is the grand finale of a two-year intensive business and technology program,” says Katina Paleologos, principal at Allan A. Martin. “It showcases the varied and creative talents of a young group of entrepreneurs. Throughout the program, students have learned skills in teamwork, personal management, business planning, advertising, promotion, and sales. We are very proud of our students and the time and effort they have put forth to be successful.”
During the Trade Show, exhibits highlight student-designed business ventures complete with business plans and marketing campaigns. A variety of creative products are featured and available for purchase. The grade 8 students will showcase their projects to students, family, friends and guests.
The IBT program is a regional program open to students entering grades 6 and 7 from across the Peel board. It prepares students for the challenges and changes in a world of business, technology and teamwork. Students are also able to build their skills in a dynamic arts program.
Trade Show hours are from 8:30 to 11:50 a.m., 12:30 to 2:15 p.m., and 6:00 to 8:30 p.m. School groups interested in visiting the Trade Show should contact Katina Paleologos at Allan A. Martin to make arrangements.
