Students, staff, alumni and community members are invited to attend Earnscliffe Sr. Public School's "50 Years of Community" celebration on May 4 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Wander through 50 years of memories through specially guided tours, view special performances by current and former students, enjoy a delicious BBQ and partake in the school's carnival celebration.
The school's band performance will transport audiences through the decades with a variety of music to reflect and capture 50 years of history at Earnscliffe. At the celebration, students and staff will conduct interviews with guests to capture these memories for the school's digital records.
Earnscliffe's Student Advisory Council will host free giveaways and have organized a collaborative art activity where guests can help co-design a Muskoka chair, created by students at Judith Nyman Secondary School, that will be added to the school's courtyard.
The school has also partnered with ECOSource to design and build a community garden where guests can be a part of its inaugural opening and contribute to the planting process.
