2013 Summer Experience Program

Funded by Ontario Public Service

Facilities and Environmental Support Services are seeking qualified student applicants for the 2013 Summer Experience Program, funded by Ontario Public Service. This project-based initiative employs youth aged 15 to 24 years.

Work experience will be in an office setting for a duration of six to eight weeks, working eight (8) hours per day. The position involves:

• assisting with archiving projects to files, soft and hard copies, filing, data entry, data management, yearend closing and accounting processes
• help with organization of data and archiving of data 
• AutoCAD drawing updates
• working with a variety of people in a variety of positions

The successful candidate will require general office experience and computer skills including: Microsoft Office, Excel, Data Entry, Graphing and Statistical Skills, AutoCAD or similar program is an asset. 

The successful candidate will work from one of the following locations:
• HJA Brown Education Centre, 5650 Hurontario Street, Mississauga, Ontario
• Maintenance Services South, 933 Central Parkway West, Mississauga, Ontario.

An automobile and valid driver’s licence would be an asset.

Pay Rate:  $10.25 per hour plus 4% vacation pay.

Criminal Record Check

All new Peel District School Board employees are required to provide an ORIGINAL Criminal Record Check before starting work. The Criminal Record Check must be dated within 6 months before being hired. It may take between 4 and 8 weeks from when you apply at the police station and receive your Criminal Record Check. Any cost related to obtaining the Criminal Record Check is the sole responsibility of the applicant. We do not recommend applying for a Criminal Record Check before the interview process is completed.
