Artesian Drive Public School teams up with Mezi Community to learn about life on a First Nations Reserve
Grade 5 students at Artesian Drive Public School partnered with the Mezi Community School in Whatì, Northwest Territories to learn about what life is like on a First Nations Reserve. Throughout the school year, students from both schools wrote letters to one another to give each other a glimpse into their day-to-day life in their hometown.
To show their appreciation of this partnership and learning experience, the Artesian Drive community partnered with the school's We Day committee to collect books and clothes for students at Mezi Community School in order to help them keep warm for the cold winters in the Northwest Territories. In partnership with Air Canada, Artesian Drive shipped all items to the school for free.
