In the news: North Park Secondary School students empowered by Michelle Obama’s talk on gender equality

​On Nov. 28, North Park Secondary School students attended Michelle Obama's talk, The Economics of Equality – Empowering Women and Girls to Change the World in Toronto, where they had the opportunity to hear the former First Lady's thoughts on gender equality, racial bias, thoughtful communication, and resiliency. They also heard from Madame Sophie Grégoire-Trudeau, Ambassador to Plan International, who spoke on the global impact of the "Because I am a Girl" initiative.

Students had the opportunity to sit down and discuss various issues that they're passionate about with business leaders and politicians from across Canada.​
