Turner Fenton Secondary School is proud to host their first junior and senior robotics tournament on Wednesday, April 19, 2017. The challenge offers students between the ages of 11 and 18 the opportunity to work in various engineering fields. Through the tournament students will engage with like-minded individuals that also share a passion for robotics.
The competition provides young learners with the environment and direction to further their passions for engineering. In developing a robot for the competition, students will be introduced to workflow and skills typical in a professional environment. Not only will they exercise their logic and reasoning in mechanically realizing their innovative designs, they will learn to plan, delegate and cooperate in order to succeed.
Students will experience the joys and pitfalls of development in a safe and fun environment to prepare them for professional endeavours in math, science and technology.
