The Canadian Football League trophy will make a stop at Castlebridge Public School on Jan. 29. The visit with the Grey Cup fulfills a promise made by the Toronto Argonauts organization who visited the school in the fall as part of the Huddle Up Bullying Prevention School Program.
“The Argos’ Huddle Up Bullying Prevention School Program has been very effective at our school in inspiring our students and empowering them to take action towards bullying prevention at Castlebridge,” says Michelle Haddad, principal at Castlebridge. “The visit from the Grey Cup will be very exciting for our school, and a wonderful follow-up to our Huddle Up activities.”
Designed for students in grades 3 to 12, Huddle Up sees Toronto Argonaut players, cheerleaders, and program staff, working together to powerfully support and convey bullying prevention messages for both targets and bystanders. Castlebridge’s own Huddle Up team consists of students and staff facilitators.
Castlebridge is located at 2801 Castlebridge Drive in Mississauga. The assembly will be in the gymnasium at 2:20 p.m. and the Grey Cup will be there for 15 minutes.
