Castlebrooke Secondary School students participate in new flipped classrooms
Students at Castlebrooke Secondary School are among the first in Canada to participate in a flipped classroom–a new teaching method featured on CTV on Oct. 18. Instead of completing their homework in the evening, students watch a video lesson their teacher has posted on YouTube. Their homework is completed during class time, allowing for more one-on-one tutorial time with teachers and peers. Students without Internet access at home can bring their mobile devices to school and watch the video at the beginning of the day.
