Mississauga Secondary School alumnus Jahmal Jones has signed a one-year contract with Estonian basketball team Tallinna Ulikool/Kalev. As part of the team, Jones will compete in Estonia’s Korvpalli Meistriliiga (KML) and internationally in the Baltic Basketball League and FIBA Europe Cup.
Jones previously competed as part of Mississauga Secondary School’s basketball team before pursuing post-secondary studies at Ryerson University, where he competed nationally in Canadian Interuniversity Sport (CIS). Jones recently completed his first professional season with Turi Svitavy in Czech Republic, where he ranked third in the league in both assists and steals, and led his club to the playoffs. He finished the season as a two-time Eurobasket.com All-Czech Republic NBL Player of the Week and was named a Eurobasket.com All-Czech Republic NBL Honourable Mention.
