Peel board student achieves excellence at 32nd annual French public-speaking event

​Fayha Najeeb, a grade 10 student at John Fraser Secondary School, earned top honours at the 32nd Concours d'art oratoire on May 14 at Glendon College in Toronto. Najeeb placed first in the grade 9 to 10 core category and received a $500 grand prize. Organized by Canadian Parents for French (Ontario) and the Ontario Modern Language Teachers’ Association, the Concours d’art oratoire is the largest annual French public speaking event for grades 4 to 12 students enrolled in French Second Language (FSL) programs in Ontario schools.​
