Dawn Addison, principal of Morning Star Middle School, was one of five Trinidad and Tobago nationals to receive the Distinguished National of Trinidad and Tobago Canada Award. Trinidad and Tobago’s High Commissioner to Canada, Phillip Buxo, presented the awards at the High Commission’s Republic Day Reception in Ottawa. The award honours Addison for her significant contributions to her school community through projects that support mental health, self-esteem and healthy activities.
