Peel board student productions to be shown at Sears Drama Festival Central Regional Showcase

Five Peel District School Board schools will see their student productions performed on stage during the Sears Drama Festival Central Regional Showcase at Meadowvale Theatre from April 14 to 16. Of the nine productions being shown, five are from Peel board schools and feature all student talent. These productions are written, directed, casted and performed by students. 

The Sears Drama Festival is one of the largest drama festivals in North America and this year marks its 70th anniversary. The schedule for the performances is available below.

 

Thursday, April 14

Bur Oak Secondary School (YRDSB) presents Swan Song: Exploring the Five Stages of Grief 

Cawthra Park Secondary School (PDSB) presents Impressions

Mayfield Secondary School (PDSB) presents The Red Road

 

Friday, April 15

The Woodlands School. (PDSB) presents Hope

St. Elizabeth Catholic Secondary School (YCDSB) presents Medea

Brampton Centennial Secondary School (PDSB) presents Death Comes To Us All, Mary Agnes

 

Saturday, April 16

St. Michael Catholic Secondary School (DPCDSB) presents Carter Without Art

Lorne Park Secondary School (PDSB) presents The Childing

Maple H.S. (YRDSB) presents Amanah

 

Curtain is at 7 p.m. each night. Tickets are $16.00 for adults and $12.00 for students. There is a group rate of $10.00 per ticket for secondary school groups of ten or more, including staff supervisors (reserve and pay for tickets ahead of time in supervising teacher's name).

  • Call the Meadowvale Theatre box office at 905 615 4720, extension 2588.  Phone reservations can be made from 12 to 3 p.m., Monday to Saturday. They accept all major credit cards.
  • Purchase online at www.mtix.ca 24 hours a day
  • Tickets can also be purchased at the door. The box office will open for in-person purchases at 5:30 each night. 
All tickets are general admission.
