Birchbank students named winners of third annual All-Star Reading Challenge

Birchbank Public School has been named the winner of the third annual All-Star Reading Challenge. A total of ten schools across the Greater Toronto Area participated in the event which challenges grade 5 students to write a report about each book every week for a total of 10 weeks. Students received tickets to see a Raptors 905 game, along with a collection of books for their school, for writing the most comprehensive and timely book reports.

At the 2016 All-Star Reading Challenge launch on Jan. 27, grade 5 students had the opportunity to meet Toronto Raptors player DeMar DeRozen, as well as authors of the books chosen for this year’s challenge.
