Cherrytree Public School shows holiday spirit with food drive
The Cherrytree Public School community is currently participating in the first Cram-a-Cruiser Holiday Food Drive to support its Neighbourhood Policing Unit's fundraising efforts for local food banks.
In the first week of the drive, students, staff and parents donated 2,123 non-perishable food items. As students made donations, they filled out a Cherrytree heart with their name and room number to place on six large Christmas trees in the front hall. The trees, designed and constructed by school staff, are now covered with hearts—a true sign of the school’s generosity. The drive continues until Dec. 10 and will conclude with the Cram-a-Cruiser event on Dec. 11.
