Peel board students achieve excellence at 31st annual French public-speaking event
Students from Peel secondary schools earned top honours at the 31st Concours d'art oratoire on May 9 at Glendon College in Toronto. The Woodlands' Ritika Nair placed second in the grade 9-10 core category. Streetsville's Wadeed Irfan came in third in the grade 11-12 immersion category. Organized by Canadian Parents for French (Ontario) and the Ontario Modern Language Teachers’ Association, the Concours d’art oratoire is the largest annual French public speaking event for grades 4 to 12 students enrolled in French Second Language (FSL) programs in Ontario schools.
