The Peel District School Board has been selected as one of Greater Toronto's Top Employers for 2019, announced by Mediacorp Canada Inc. in a magazine published in the Globe and Mail on Dec. 7.
"We are honoured to be a part of a diverse set of employers across the Greater Toronto Area to be recognized for this prestigious award. This award is a celebration of the ongoing commitment of over 16,000 dedicated staff in our schools and work sites that inspire success, confidence and hope in each student, each and every day," says Peter Joshua, director of education. "As the Peel region's largest employer, our goal remains on attracting highly qualified, diverse staff who are committed to excellence, have a passion for innovation and most importantly, to support student success - this recognition is an important benchmark in our ongoing work to achieve that goal."
Joshua and the Chair of the Board, Stan Cameron, will accept the award at a recognition lunch on Dec. 7 at the Four Seasons hotel in Toronto. For more information about the award, visit www.canadastop100.com/toronto.
