The Helen Des Roches Starfish Award is presented annually to an individual who has made a significant difference in the lives of students facing obstacles to their education. The Peel Board Social Workers nominate individuals who are current employees or affiliates with the board. A committee of four school social workers review the nominations and select the recipient.
The award ceremony begins at 1 p.m. on March 7 at Earnscliffe Senior Public School, located at 50 Earnscliffe Circle in Brampton.
