If you plan to go to work after high school :

• Have you met with your guidance counsellor to discuss your plan?
• Have you completed a self-assessment of your skills, interests, abilities and preferred learning style?
• Have you applied for cooperative education to explore occupations related to your interests?
• Do you know which career area or occupation you would like to pursue?
• Do you have additional certifications that would assist you in gaining employment in your area/occupation of interest?
• Are you aware of workplace health and safety?
• Do you have a resume, cover letter, references and additional certification portfolio?
• Do you have a copy of your Ontario Student Transcript and Ontario Secondary School Diploma or Certificate or Certificate of Accomplishment?
• Are you registered with Job Connect ?
