Electrician-Acting (Contract to August 31, 2013 with possible extension to December 31, 2013)
The successful applicant will provide electrical maintenance and installation services at Board locations under the direction of a Maintenance Supervisor while working out of the North or South Maintenance Shop from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Must have a good working knowledge of electric motors, motor controls, variable frequency drives, water well systems, lighting controls, electrical distribution, fire alarm systems, emergency power, emergency lighting and electronics as it applies to electronic environmental controls, heating ventilating equipment and energy management systems. Must possess good trouble shooting skills. Duties will include, but are not limited to, servicing, maintaining and replacement of the aforementioned items, and other related duties as assigned.

Proof of Apprenticeship in Ontario or equivalent.
Valid Ontario Electrician's Construction and Maintenance 309A, or 309D License and preferably with an Interprovincial Seal.
Several years related Service Truck experience is preferable.
Valid CFAA or ECAO Registered Fire Alarm Technician License is preferable.
Valid NCS communication cabling license is preferable.
A diploma in electronics from a recognized institution is preferable (or 309D license).
Valid Ontario Driver's License (Class G) and a recent driver's abstract confirming a safe driving record.
Ability to work on own initiative with a minimum of supervision.
Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position.
Working Knowledge of computer systems.
Good communication skills, both oral and written, to work effectively with Board personnel and outside agencies.
Record of satisfactory on-the-job performance.
Duties are to commence as soon as possible
Salary Range: $73,594 per annum
