Morning elementary program (junior kindergarten to grade 8)
Students report to their classroom five to 10 minutes prior to the start of class. Classes begin promptly and attendance is taken.

The focus is on oral skills at the primary level with the introduction of reading and writing as the students’ knowledge improves. During the morning, teachers take up homework and work through exercises and activities with their class. New concepts are taught and presentations made or students work independently on assignments. Students may also listen to music; learn more about the background of the language and culture, and study dances that they can perform during celebrations.

During a 15-minute, mid-morning break, students may enjoy a small snack brought from home. They are not to leave the school during the break.

At the end of class, all students should leave the building and move off school property.

Morning secondary program grades 9 to 12

Students report to their classroom five to 10 minutes prior to the start of class. Classes begin promptly and attendance is taken.

Following the Ministry of Education curriculum, students, working independently, in pairs or in small groups learn new concepts in addition to reviewing language skills they have gained. Students will focus on oral, writing and reading skills in order to have a high level of knowledge of the international language. During the morning, teachers may also take up homework, assign or collect students’ work, or administer tests and distribute results.

At the end of class all students should leave the building and move off school property.
